Designed to celebrate the city’s landmarks, culture, and character, the piece invites viewers to explore Toledo in a playful and engaging way.
Project Overview
This project focused on creating a highly detailed, full-color illustration that captures the essence of downtown Toledo while functioning as both artwork and a visual guide.
The goal was to highlight recognizable locations, local icons, and beloved mascots—making the illustration feel both informative and entertaining for visitors and locals alike.
Design Approach:
The illustration takes on an “eye-spy” approach—layering numerous elements throughout the composition to encourage discovery and interaction.
A bright, vibrant color palette was used to reflect the energy of the city and draw attention across the full spread. Each element was carefully illustrated to be both recognizable and stylistically cohesive.
