Custom Illustration Services for Brands & Products
Hand-crafted illustrations for product packaging, beverage labels, marketing materials, and more. Every piece is original artwork created specifically for your brand, your product, and your audience.
Illustration for Packaging, Labels & Products
Whether you need illustrated packaging for a new product line, custom labels for your beverage brand, or spot illustrations for a marketing campaign, I create artwork that works in the real world. Every illustration is hand-crafted and designed for your specific production needs, whether that means print-ready vector files, high-resolution raster artwork, or both.
How a
custom illustration
project works
Every illustration project follows a clear structure with built-in revision rounds so you have input at every stage. Here's what to expect.
-
We start by aligning on goals, audience, intended use, and style. I'll ask about production specs, file format requirements, and any brand guidelines I need to work within. When helpful, I create a moodboard to define the visual direction before sketching begins.
-
I create an initial black-and-white sketch to establish composition and overall concept. This is where we lock in the idea before adding color or detail.
-
You review the sketch and request any changes. This round focuses on structure, layout, and concept direction. Major composition adjustments happen here.
-
Once the sketch is approved, I move into the full illustration with color, texture, and detail.
-
You review the colored illustration and request final refinements. This round is for small adjustments, not major concept changes.
-
After final approval, I prepare and deliver the completed illustration in all agreed-upon formats, ready for print or digital use.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Pip & Cricket offers custom illustration for product packaging, beverage and wine labels, coffee labels, editorial projects, institutional illustration, and brand collateral. All work is hand-drawn with a nature-inspired, detail-rich style.
-
Yes. Packaging and label illustration is a core service. Past projects include coffee bag labels for The Flying Joe, wine labels for Urban Pine Winery, and product packaging for The Growing Candle by Hyggelight.
-
If your product sits on a shelf next to competitors, custom illustration is one of the strongest ways to stand out. Stock art and templates are shared across hundreds of products. Custom illustration gives you something no one else has, and it can be designed specifically for your packaging format, your brand palette, and your audience. It also gives you full ownership of the artwork.
-
That depends on your production needs. Most clients receive vector files (AI, EPS, SVG) for scalable print production and raster files (PNG, JPG, TIFF) for digital use. I'll confirm formats during the discovery phase based on how the artwork will be used.
-
Most single-illustration projects take 2 to 4 weeks from discovery to final delivery. That includes concept sketching, two revision rounds, and final file preparation. Larger projects with multiple illustrations or complex packaging layouts may take longer. I'll provide a timeline during our initial conversation.
-
Absolutely. I can provide files to your specifications, review proofs, and coordinate directly with your printer or production partner if needed. Making sure the artwork works in production is part of the service, not an add-on.
