Luxury Invitation Suite & Day-Of Details
This Downtown Toledo wedding suite was designed with a modern, minimalist approach—pairing clean typography with subtle watercolor elements to create a refined, art-forward aesthetic.
Created for an LGBTQ couple, the design focuses on simplicity, intention, and meaningful details woven throughout.
Project Overview
The goal of this project was to create a luxury wedding suite that feels contemporary and understated, while still incorporating personal elements that reflect the couple’s story.
Rather than relying on heavy illustration, the design leans into negative space, thoughtful typography, and minimal visual accents—allowing each detail to feel intentional and elevated.
Design Approach:
The design centers around a clean, modern layout with a primarily white and navy color palette.
Soft navy watercolor swashes were used sparingly, adding texture and movement without overwhelming the minimalist composition. Typography plays a leading role—elegant, structured, and slightly creative in its phrasing to reflect the couple’s personality.
A circular design system was used throughout, bringing consistency and a subtle visual motif to the suite. The number “5” was thoughtfully incorporated as a recurring element, representing the couple’s wedding date and adding a layer of personal meaning.
While the overall design remains minimal, select illustrated elements were introduced to create moments of personality—most notably a custom dog illustration featured on the bar signage.
