This custom wedding invitation suite was designed as a fully personalized, hand-painted experience—featuring soft blue tones, hydrangea florals, and meaningful locations from the couple’s story.

Set against the backdrop of Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton, Ohio near Sandusky, the suite combines fine art illustration with thoughtful design to create a cohesive and elevated first impression for the wedding day

Design Approach

The design centers around a soft, light blue palette paired with layered watercolor textures to create a sense of elegance and calm.

Hydrangeas were chosen as the primary floral element, adding softness and seasonal relevance while reinforcing the coastal, lakeside setting. The custom illustrations serve as focal points throughout the suite—balancing detail with restraint to maintain a refined, cohesive look.

Typography was selected to complement the artwork without overpowering it, allowing the illustrations to lead while ensuring clarity and readability across all printed pieces.

Project Overview

The goal of this project was to create an heirloom-quality invitation suite that felt both timeless and deeply personal.

Each element was custom illustrated in watercolor—from delicate hydrangea florals to a portrait of the couple’s pets, as well as hand-painted scenes of the ceremony church and wedding venue. The final suite brings these pieces together into a cohesive system that tells a story before guests even arrive.
