Local Roots Juice Co. is a vibrant juice and smoothie shop with two locations, offering fresh-squeezed juices, smoothies, oatmeal, toast, and specialty drinks.
The goal of this project was to expand on their existing handmade logo—developing a cohesive menu and brand system that feels playful, fresh, and elevated.
Project Overview
Local Roots Juice Co. came to me with a pre-existing handmade logo, but lacked consistency across their customer-facing materials.
They wanted to keep their existing logo, but wanted help with brand extensions and illustrations.
This project focused on creating a menu design and visual system that reflects the energy of the brand—balancing bold, unexpected design with a level of refinement that aligns with their quality offerings.
Design Approach:
The design direction leans into a bright, playful aesthetic—using bold color, dynamic layouts, and unexpected combinations to reflect the freshness and energy of the brand.
At the same time, typography and spacing were carefully considered to maintain clarity and sophistication. The result is a menu that feels fun and approachable, while still being easy to navigate and aligned with a modern café experience.
Color and graphic elements were used to highlight different sections of the menu, helping guide the customer while reinforcing the brand’s personality.
