Event Illustration & Tote Design
The Toledo Classic Women’s Summit is an annual event centered around leadership, mentorship, and professional growth. For the 2025 summit, I was commissioned to create custom artwork for attendee gift totes, along with a one-of-a-kind illustrated piece for the keynote speaker.
Project Overview
This project focused on creating meaningful, elevated artwork that aligns with the summit’s theme of mentorship while incorporating the event’s bold, recognizable color palette.
The designs needed to feel celebratory and intentional—something attendees would not only use during the event, but continue to keep afterward.
Design Approach:
The tote design blends hand-drawn typography with expressive floral illustration to create a piece that feels both impactful and personal.
The phrase “Driving Excellence Through Mentorship” was illustrated by hand, subtly referencing the event’s connection to golf while maintaining a refined, professional tone.
Peony illustrations were woven throughout the composition, adding movement, softness, and symbolism—representing growth, support, and flourishing relationships.
The color palette pulls directly from the event’s branding, incorporating bold blue, bright green, and vibrant purple to create a cohesive and energetic final piece.
In addition to the tote design, a custom watercolor peony illustration was created as a gift for keynote speaker Kat Cole, CEO of AG1. This piece was designed to feel personal, thoughtful, and aligned with the event’s visual language.
